Xiaomi popular Redmi branded smartphone, may be pushing for a new upgrade and this time might be the Redmi 7 series according to sources online. A recent leak from Tenaa, China telecommunications company revealed most of the specifications on this smartphone.
It is most likely that there will be a three versions of this smartphone, that is the Redmi 7 Pro, Redmi 7 Lite and Redmi 7. The very popular Chinese smartphone may be available January 2019.
Some of the specifications that was leaked by Tenaa are ROM of 4GB, 3GB and 6GB, RAM of 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. The external storage is up to 256GB. It will use Octa core CPU clocked at 2.3GHz, powered by Mediatek chipset.
You should expect Android 8.1.0 Oreo on the Redmi 7 series. The selfie camera is 8MP with water drop notch while the rear cameras have 12MP and 8MP sizes. More to these, the battery size shall be 2800 mAh and the screen size is stated as 5.48-inch with a resolution of 2280 by 1080 pixels.
A photo render revealed the Redmi 7 to have its rear camera positioned horizontally, however, Tenaa photo has the phone back shooters to be mounted vertically. It is not clear for now how the rear cameras will EB but it is clearly stated the the front camera will be surrounded by water drop notch technology.
