Its looks like the 2019 flagship smartphones may be more expensive than what we have now. This is due to the introduction of 5G to technology market next year. It seems that the cost of research in putting 5G in place is more compared to 4G network.
Yesterday in Qualcomm Tech Suit held in Maui, OnePlus CEO was interviewed by The Verge and he stated that the OnePlus flagship smartphones for 2019 will cost $200 to $300 more. This means that the inexpensive OnePlus flagship of less than $600 for 2018 will have a retail price of $800 to $900.
The Verge correspondence also interviewed Qualcomm President after a round table meeting at the summit. The President of Qualcomm Inc. added that some OMEs may be more aggressive in price. This will only mean that the more expensive Samsung Galaxy flagship may worth $1200 to $1300 or more.

However, for OnePlus CEO, the price isn't his problem but the his customers are looking forward to a InePlus Flagship smartphone with 5G connection.
OnePlus is not the only each company planning on a 5G smartphone next year. Samsung, Motorola, Xiaomi and more are working on including 5G network that support various carriers next year.
