LG finally launched it second 2018 flagship smartphone with a better upgrade than its younger sister, LG V30 ThinQ launched last year. The company introduces three cameras models to this premium phone which are mostly found on Huawei flagship smartphones. However, what makes the V40 ThinQ peculiar is the triple preview which allows you to preview the photos taken from the smartphone then you can choose the perfect one and the cinemagraph which allows you to create motion and static photo using Cine shot and convert it to animated GIF if you wish to do so.
Internal Features of the LG V40 ThinQ
The main internal feature is the motherboard. It comprises of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 microprocessor, CPU clocked at 2.8GHz, GPU of Adreno 630 and the internal RAM and ROM of 6GB and 64GB respectively. Another area worthy of note is the 3300 mAh battery capacity.
External Features of the LG V40 ThinQ
For the physical outer feature, the triple rear cameras is more eminent and likely LG's main marketing strategy. You can also notice the LED flash and the fingerprint scanner at the rear site. The front view has two selfies cameras with the bezels trimmed enough to have a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The notch design is also very glaring.

Performance, Battery and Network
The LG V40 ThinQ performance relied on its chipset, CPU and RAM. Compared to other flagship smartphone, the 6GB RAM is quite small. However, the chipset installed here is common in all premium smartphones launched this year. Of course, same CPU and GPU; and same 4G network connection. The battery size, however, is not impressive, a 3300 mAh battery at an age of bigger battery is not worthy of praise.
Camera, Display and Sensors
Triple cameras installed on the rear view is really something to talk about and the ability to preview the photos taken with each cameras, then select the one you prefer is also cool as well as taken photos in cinemagraph style is something to long for. The standard camera is 12MP, Wide angle camera is 13MP while the third camera is also 12MP. For the selfie camera, however, a mixture of 8MP and 5MP shooter is available for your delight. The Cine Shot feature on the camera is another area that keeps increasing my salivation of this smartphone.
The LG V40 ThinQ relied on P-OLED display. It also has a resolution of 1440 by 3120 pixels available at 536 PPI density. The sensors has been well said on the specification list above.
My Rating of the LG V40 ThinQ
In my humble opinion, the LG V40 ThinQ is nothing but about the tripple cameras, triple preview feature and cine shot. This gives it more weight on my scale. However, the phone failed to impress me in the battery capacity and the use of rear mounted fingerprint scanner. However, it is certain that the processor is similar to other premium level smartphone, therefore, the LG V40 ThinQ is rated 8.9 on my scale of 1 to 10. So, it is a quality smartphone you may decide to lay your money on.
