A report from Euromonitor shows that tecno and Itel have the largest share of feature phones sales in Nigeria. Though, there is no figure nor percentage to back it.
The reasons for the growth in sales of Itel and Tecno's feature phones in Nigeria may be as a result of its affordability and availability of certain features that provides entertainment and browsing for the users, as well as, the lack of constant electricity. Many persons with smartphones also use feature phone to make it easy for them to communicate customers, relatives and other family members.

The increase in the volume of sales of feature phones made by Tecno and Itel, was as a result of the company's knowledge of the Nigerian market, good distribution network, varieties of feature phones available, strong presence and more.

The company has always created promotions, giveaways, and maintain a consistent social media presence. It is very unlikely that any international tech company can dear Tecno and Itel efforts to make feature phones available for low income earners.
