New source states that Sony hasn't confirmed when it will release the Android Pie to it smartphones. Rumors had it that the tech company may release the Android Pie updates to it's Xperia flagship smartphone, however, a message sent to XDA developer from Sony Mobile PR shows that the company has not confirmed when its smartphones gets the new upgrade.
A previous source, states the the Sony Xperia XZ3 which may be launch in IFA event revealed that the Sony upcoming flagship will be launch with an Android Pie. Also, although it is a rumor, Sony will certainly released an updates to its previous flagship which is not more than two years old when launched. But may not released update to middle range and entry level smartphones it manufactured.
For one thing, we know that Sony has not stated when it will release the update neither has it confirmed that it will do so. Therefore, the information regarding the release of a Android Pie update are mere rumor and should be seen as an hint and not the fact.
